General
Questions
 1 Can you send me more information about this holiday accommodation
Please contact the owner; we do not have more information about this self catering unit.

2 With other sites I have to pay up to 100 Euro/year; why is yours free?
Our service is free. The work is done by volunteers and almost all tasks are automated; because of that our costs are very low. Revenues from ads and donations are sufficient to cover our costs.

3 I have some questions; can you call me?
No, there is no help desk.

4 Can you translate my text?
No, we cannot, we are not translators.

5 What do you mean by 'your control centre'?
Your control centre is the page where you can manage all your data. Via this page you can add, change or delete key data, photos, links and descriptions. You can access questions and answer them and you can view statistics about your pages.

6 Can you delete my registration?
No, only you can do that via your control centre.

7 I just do not understand the whole thing; can you help?
In that case we advise you to find someone with more experience in this field to help you enter your data. After that you can probably do it on your own.

Registration
Questions
 1 I registered but did not receive an e-mail
After your registration an e-mail with an activation link is sent to you. Usually that message will show up within a few minutes. If you still haven't received an e-mail after a few hours you probably entered the wrong email address. Just try again. If not, our e-mail may be blocked by your ISP or email program.

Questions
 1 I cannot login?
If you see the message that the combination of username and password does not exist, although you are registered, then one of the following things has happened.
a. typo; your password is 'summer' and you typed 'sumer', or
b. you entered an uppercase ('Summer') but you registered with a lowercase ('summer'), or
c. you started by accident with a space; ' summer' instead of 'summer', or
d. your browser does not accept cookies, or
e. there is no registration anymore.
The latter can happen if you removed your registration. Furthermore, it is possible that our system removed your registration. If you registered but did not enter any data, then after some time our system will clean up unused registrations.

2 I have lost my password
Go to the page to login and enter your e-mail address. If that e-mail address exists in our database, an e-mail with the username and password will be sent to that e-mail address.
If that e-mail address does not exist in our database, we cannot help you.

3 I do not know my e-mail address anymore
Go to the page with the description of your accommodation and ask a general question. A copy of that question will be sent to the e-mail address of the owner (you!). If that does not solve your problem, we cannot help you. We will never disclose an e-mail address.

Photos
Questions
 1 Can you download some photos from my site?
No, we cannot.

2 Can I send you my photos?
No.

3 I do not have a small picture!
In that case just skip that paragraph; a small picture is not required.

4 Can you re-size a picture?
No.

5 I do not understand how to upload a picture; can you help?
In that case we advise you to find somebody with more experience in this field to help you. After that, you can probably do it on your own.!

6 I changed a photo, but the old one still turns up
The old picture is probably still in the cache of your PC. Press Ctrl/F5 to clear the cache and to see the new photo on your screen.

 1 What is the story about a link?
To become number one with all major search engines we need a lot of external pages which link to our site. Because of that we ask you to put a link on one of the pages on your site.

2 Is a link to you required?
No.

3 In that case, why should I put a link on my site?
We place your accommodation higher on every list and we will publish a link to your page.

4 The link to my site does not turn up?
If you can't see a link in the paragraph Contact, on the page of your accommodation then our robot did not detect the specified HTML code on the page you entered. Why not?
a. you have not added the HTML code yet , or
b. you did not add the exact HTML code, for instance you added a space, or
c. you did not enter a link in your control centre yet , or
d. you entered a link in your control centre, but did not enter the page where you added the HTML code.
The last case is common. For instance you added the HTML code on your page www.mysite.com/links.htm. In your control centre you entered www.mysite.com/index.htm as the link page. In that case our robot will never detect the link.

5 How can I add a link on one of my pages?
The HTML code you have to add on a page can be found in your control centre in the paragraph with the links.

6 I asked you to publish a link to my site, but nothing happened
There is no point in asking such a question. Our robot works on its own. If there is no link on the page with your accommodation that means that our robot did not find the exact HTML code on the page you entered as a link page. Why not? See question 4 and check points a, b, c and d.

Donations
Questions
 1 Why should I become a donor?
It will give you a number of advantages and you are doing us a favor. Your donation will close the gap between our revenues and costs.

2 Is a donation required?
No, not in the least.

3 What advantages are you talking about?
Your accommodation will be ranked higher on every list, you will get an additional entry of your accommodation on the main search page and you can ask us a number of support questions.

4 How much can I donate?
You can donate any amount between 10 and 100 Euro.

5 How long is my donation valid?
Your donation is valid for one year.

6 Can I increase my donation?
No, you cannot.

7 Can I replace my donation?
Yes, you can. If for instance you donate 10 Euro on the first of April, you can donate 20 Euro on the first of September. That donation will then be valid until the first of September the following year.

8 Can I donate via a direct money transfer?
No, you only can donate via credit card or a PayPal account.

9 Can I donate via a cheque?
No, you only can donate via credit card or a PayPal account.

10 Can I trust PayPal?
976 million people have a PayPal account. Furthermore, PayPal is an affiliate of eBay.

My registration
Questions
 1 Where is the page with my accommodation?
Go to your control centre. There you can view the status of your publication and where your pages can be found on the different sites.
You also can visit the search page. Define your own list and enter the postal code. Your accommodation will show up on the list of accommodations with that postal code.

2 Why did you (partially) block the page with my accommodation?
All the data you enter, are audited by the site manager. If your entered data are not appropriate your page or parts of that page will be blocked. If you are blocked, you can view why you are blocked in your control centre.

3 Why do you block?
Our visitors expect certain information. For instance if they want to know the telephone number they expect to see the telephone number in that specific field. If the owner entered 'WITH POOL' as a telephone number our visitor is disappointed.

4 Can you deblock?
No, but you can do it yourself via your control centre.

Misc
Questions
 1 I do not receive e-mails from visitors (anymore)
Questions of visitors are sent directly to the e-mail address you entered in your control centre. If those e-mails do not turn up in your e-mail inbox they are blocked by either your ISP or your e-mail program.

2 I (owner) cannot ask a question anymore; why?
It is possible; you - if you are a donor - are only allowed a limited number of questions. After reaching your limit, you cannot ask any more questions.

3 I do not have a site; can you help?
No.

4 Where can I find the GPS-coordinates of my accommodation?
With the help of a GPS or a site like http://world.maporama.com.
